As OT Security Consultant – Maritime Cybersecurity you:
- design, validate and ensure the maintenance of the ship level cybersecurity architectural design and cybersecurity concept for the operational technology (OT) systems onboard so that it reflects network and security related requirements, standards, and guidelines
- collaborate with customers, shipyards, partners and internal project teams across functions to ensure projects reach the intended security levels
You play a central role in ensuring the security and integrity of the ship network systems by implementing a cybersecurity concept in collaboration with internal functions, customers or partner functions. You will be responsible for adjusting R&D reference architectures for customer specific projects as well as developing, implementing and testing network infrastructure integrated solutions in maritime cybersecurity by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer delivery and compliance with standards.
The position is hybrid, permanent and available in one of the following European NACOS Marine locations: Denmark (Hørsholm), The Netherlands (Rotterdam), Germany (Hamburg), Norway (Drammen).
Responsibilities:
- Design and validate the network topology and conduits to fulfil security zones/segmentations for maritime customer integration projects based on IEC62443 and ensure the maintenance of the design concept
- Achieve the intended security level and integrity of network and control systems through the implementation of cybersecurity measures
- Safeguard OT systems with firewalls, hardening and robust segmentation in accordance with varying levels of security, such as security zones, DMZs, and conduits
- Align cybersecurity expectations across customers, shipyards and class societies as well as internally between functions (eg. R&D and Engineering project management) to ensure coordinated cybersecurity efforts
- Ensure threats and risks are analysed, documented and managed to an acceptable level
- Support project delivery at customer locations when needed, travel required occasionally
Who you are:
- Strong system integration mindset - from design concept all the way through software development lifecycle and maintenance
- Proactive and solution oriented, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and build relations across multicultural environments
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Solid experience with IT/OT cybersecurity principles, technologies, and frameworks
- Experience in applying frameworks adhering to relevant standards and conducting risk assessments. Relevant standards IACS E26/27 and IEC 62443-3-3/61162-460, however other standards may be applicable
- Strong network understanding and implementation of different architectures, topologies, and security implications - especially with Industrial Alarm and Control Systems (SCADA, PLCs, firewall/routers/switches, ...)
- Fluency with English language
- Hands-on experience with security solutions (eg: IAM, anti-malware, IDS, EDR/XDR, SIEM)
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CSSLP are welcomed, as well as other cyber and/or architecture certification

This position requires a security clearance at CONFIDENTIEL UE / EU CONFIDENTIAL level (ability to obtain is a condition of employment).
