About Us
DCAI is a newly established company, with a mission to accelerate AI research and innovation in Denmark. DCAI will operate Gefion, a state-of-the-art supercomputer designed to tackle large-scale AI projects across various fields, from healthcare and life sciences to the green transition and quantum computing. We are based in Copenhagen and collaborate closely with experts from both the public and private sectors, including partnerships with NVIDIA, to advance Denmark's position in AI and advanced computing.
The Job
As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be responsible for building and leading our cybersecurity function from the ground up. This role is critical in overseeing the entire security framework of the Gefion supercomputer, applications, and customer workloads. Your primary focus will be on implementing security controls, conducting risk assessments, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
You will play a crucial role in balancing stringent security measures with the agility required for the supercomputer's operation, ensuring that we meet our strategic goals while maintaining a high level of security and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Your key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with our organizational goals
- Incident Management: Handle critical and complex real-life security incidents, including threat detection, response, and recovery
- Policy and Compliance: Draft, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, CER, GDPR, and other relevant regulations
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement risk mitigation strategies. Prepare for and manage internal and external security audits
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, legal, and executive leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives
- Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with security vendors and service providers
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to promote a culture of security awareness across the organization
- Strategic Leadership: Think strategically to design security measures that align with our long-term goals, balancing the need for robust security with operational agility
Professional And Personal Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
- A strong background in cybersecurity, particularly related to hardware, with proven experience in handling complex security incidents and developing cybersecurity strategies
- Demonstrated experience in managing cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including external authorities
- A solid understanding of business principles, with the ability to evaluate the impact of enhanced security measures on operational efficiency and user access
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-stakes environment
- A passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in AI and its potential to address global challenges
