About the Role:
As a Penetration Tester at Defensive Group, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of technical security engagements. Your expertise will directly support our clients in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, enabling them to strengthen their defenses against emerging threats. You will be working with a team from various professional backgrounds, ensuring that different perspectives contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will perform penetration tests activities such as (but not limited to), assumed breach assessments, cloud reviews, web applications pentest, physical breach, phishing. The position is for an Offensive Security Consultant who is able to take on many different offensive service assessments and that aims at delivery high quality work. Your role will include activities such as:
- Perform a range of penetration testing activities, including internal and external assessments, vulnerability scanning, and auditing.
- Conduct assume breach scenarios, including Active Directory and Azure AD reviews.
- Execute cloud and mobile security assessments.
- Lead phishing simulations, red/purple team exercises, and targeted attack simulations.
- Develop and present engaging live hack demonstrations.
- Contribute to internal research and the development/customization of security tools.
- Deliver high-quality security assessments and provide actionable recommendations to clients
Qualifications:
> Experience:
• Internal penetration testing and assume breach scenarios (network).
• External penetration testing (web applications, OSINT, etc.).
• Active Directory and Azure AD security reviews.
• Red/purple teaming and targeted attack simulations.
> Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical details clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to helping clients improve their cybersecurity posture.
• A continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to pursue new certifications and expand technical expertise
Preferred Certifications:
While not mandatory, any relevant cybersecurity certifications (such as OSCP, CRTO, etc.) will be considered a valuable asset.
