Are you enrolled in a Master study with focus on computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another relevant field in the Copenhagen area?
In GN Group we develop, support, and maintain technologies, tools and processes that are used as a base upon which other applications, processes and technologies are developed.
As part of the IT Security team, you will help protect and enhance our global IT Security, which is based upon a zero-trust concept. This entails working with several leading technologies and vendors in the field.
The team you will be part of
You will be part of a highly skilled, supportive, and enthusiastic department located in Ballerup, with a diverse and experienced specialists working closely together with other IT teams, our CISO and other stakeholders in an informal, dynamic global work environment. You will report to Head of IT Security Cathleen Rupf van Hoften.
As part of the IT Security team, you will help protect and enhance our global IT Security, which is based upon a zero-trust concept.
This entails working with several leading technologies and vendors in the field.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Assist the team in doing vulnerability management
- Perform small-scoped pentests on our active directory environment
- Assist the team in creating and optimizing SIEM analytic rules
- Analyze RBAC and other permission requests and making sure they are properly scoped for the business case
- Assist the team in reviewing and mitigating incidents/alerts from our SOC
- Pulling and formatting data from our environment to aid GNs CIS18 rollout
- Assist the CIS18 Assessor team in CIS control assessing evidence collection as well as result reporting and collaboration with teams across GN
- Provide support for users when they have IT-security related inquiries
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:
- Enthusiastic about IT security
- Aim to deliver high-quality results and understand security in networks, endpoints, and architecture
- Stay updated with the global threat landscape and leverage this knowledge for effective mitigation and detection
- Have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with security frameworks and compliance standards
- Possess effective communication skills, can work well in a team, and have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues
- Are fluent in English both written and orally
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that is in the first year of their Master program, with an expected graduation in summer 2026 or latest February 2027.
