Join Vestas’ Plant Engineering NCE team as a Cyber Security Specialist and help secure SCADA systems for wind power plants across Northern and Central Europe. You will support the development, configuration, installation and servicing of SCADA solutions and ensure they meet Vestas’ standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing legal and customer documentation to identify technical security requirements and mapping them to a robust and trusted cybersecurity architecture.
- Coordinating cybersecurity initiatives across a suite of industrial control system components and collaborating with stakeholders across production, commissioning and service operations to ensure alignment.
- Enabling appropriate security controls to safeguard OT data and infrastructure and engaging in the change‑management process to maintain consistent cybersecurity practices.
- Assisting with the handling of cybersecurity incidents and providing technical insight to support the overall cybersecurity strategy.
Qualifications and competencies:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and experience working with industrial control systems.
- Good understanding of industry standards such as IEC 62443 and IEC 62351, awareness of cybersecurity trends and techniques, and experience with project execution and change management.
- Experience within the energy sector is beneficial along with fluency in technical English, both written and oral.
- Attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment, strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, and the ability to manage tasks individually while collaborating with the team.
